Srebrenica Genocide
Please look at the video and articulate your thoughts. Thoughts should be backed up by Ayah from the Quran and/or Hadiths of the Prophet PBUH. In July 1995, during the Bosnian War, Bosnian Serb forces under General Ratko Mladić killed more than 8,000 Bosniak (Bosnian Muslim) men and boys in and around the town of Srebrenica, a UN-designated "safe area" that Dutch peacekeepers failed to protect. The massacre was carried out as part of a broader campaign of ethnic cleansing targeting Bosniak Muslims specifically because religious identity, distinguishing them from Bosnian Serbs, who were predominantly Orthodox Christian. International courts, including the ICTY and the ICJ, have ruled that the killings at Srebrenica constituted genocide, making it the only event in the Bosnian War legally classified as such. Have you heard of the Srebrenica Massacre? Did you know about the genocide that killed thousands of Muslims in Europe? Why is this not talked about as much? What double standards does the West have in committing war crimes? Do more research on the genocide. What is something interesting you learned? How can we apply some lessons today? All thoughts are welcome.
