Muslim by name?
Please take a look at the picture and articulate your thoughts. Thoughts should be backed up by Ayahs from the Quran and/or Hadiths of the Prophet PBUH. Recently, the Mayor of London Sadiq Khan posted in solidarity with LGBTQ Londoners. Paul Williams (the guy from Blogging theology, in many suggested videos) replied to his message, saying "in Islam, God defines what is right and wrong - not city hall." Are you aware of the current Islamophobia in the UK? Why do you think it is so rampant? If not, then look into it then share your thoughts! What does it mean for someone with a "white" name to defend Islam? What does it mean for someone with a "Muslim" to support the Haram? Should reverts change their name after becoming Muslim? How does a name shape your identity? If you are visibly Muslim, either by looks or with your name, do you feel a greater responsibility to properly represent the deen? Or do you feel more pressured to fit in? All thoughts are welcome!
